Haedongi Daycare Center, a city hall daycare center located in Buwon-dong, Gimhae-si, designed by Chang Myung Architects, the architectural office of Chang Myung Group, won the Encouragement Award at the 8th Gimhae Architecture Awards in 2007. Haedongi Daycare Center is a workplace childcare facility established for the children of employees working at Gimhae City Hall.

Founded in 1997, Gimhae City Hall Daycare Center moved to a new location in 2007. Haedong changed its name from the existing Gimhae City Hall Daycare Center to Haedongyi Daycare Center, and the exterior was also transformed into a new look as Chang Myung Architects was in charge of the design.

Haedongi Daycare Center, located near Gimhae City Hall, shows the efficient placement of space. There are spaces such as playgrounds and gardens in the outdoor space so that children can participate in as many activities as possible within the limited outdoor site. It also implies that it is an educational space for children by utilizing shapes such as rectangles, circles, and triangles on the windows, exterior walls, and roofs of the exterior of the building. In addition, orange, a warm color, is used as a highlight color, and warm-colored wood materials are used as building materials on the surface of the building so that children can feel comfortable as they enter the space.
