Chang Myung Architect's creative design proposal was elected in a public sector carbon-neutral model discovery project (green remodeling of Jangyu Library). In promoting the green remodeling of the Jangyu Library, which has been selected and promoted as a public carbon-neutral leading model discovery project, the creation of Chang Myung Architects, which was elected through a proposal design contest, will be completed by drawing up the optimal plan through close consultation with Gimhae City. In this contest, Chang Myung's proposal was selected as a suitable design for task performance by comprehensively evaluating proposals for designers' ideas, task understanding, and performance ability.
Chang Myung Architects proposed the installation of solar power on the roof of the parking lot for the green remodeling project of the Jangyu Library to increase spatial efficiency by adding the function of electricity production to the existing parking lot. As a result, it is expected that public facility buildings will be converted into green buildings.
Jangyu Library was selected as the target site of the Ministry of Environment's carbon-neutral leading model contest and plans to carry out green remodeling work, such as improving windows and installing waste heat recovery ventilation systems, with a total of 8 billion won. In addition, it said it would build new and renewable energy facilities such as solar power generation and geothermal cooling.
